Who it is for

Built for organizations that need a system others can trust.

Business value

What certification can help demonstrate.

Certification provides independent evidence that the management system has been assessed against the applicable requirements within its defined scope.

01

Consistent delivery

Show that key processes are planned, controlled and reviewed to support consistent products and services.

02

Customer confidence

Provide independent evidence that customer and applicable requirements are addressed systematically.

03

Performance visibility

Use objectives, monitoring, internal audits and management review to understand what is working.

04

Continual improvement

Create a repeatable method for addressing nonconformities, causes, risks and opportunities.

Audit focus

What the audit examines.

Auditors evaluate objective evidence to determine whether your management system is implemented, maintained and effective within the certification scope.

  • Organizational context and the defined QMS scope
  • Leadership, responsibilities, quality policy and objectives
  • Process criteria, controls and operational evidence
  • Risks, opportunities and changes affecting the QMS
  • Performance monitoring, internal audits and management review
  • Nonconformity, corrective action and continual improvement

Before you apply

Prepare the system—not a performance.

The strongest audit readiness comes from a management system that is used in normal operations and produces reliable evidence.

  1. 1Define the scope and processes of the quality management system.
  2. 2Operate the system long enough to produce representative evidence.
  3. 3Complete an internal audit and management review.
  4. 4Resolve known gaps and make records available for the audit.

Common questions

Before you request a proposal.

Is ISO 9001 only for manufacturers?

No. ISO 9001 can be applied by service providers, public entities, nonprofits and organizations in virtually any sector or size.

Does ISO 9001 certify our products?

No. It certifies the quality management system within the approved scope, not an individual product or service.

What happens when ISO 9001:2026 is published?

Certified organizations are expected to receive a defined transition period. NACSER should publish a dedicated transition notice once the final edition and applicable transition arrangements are confirmed.
